Meet the Founder -
Kristina Schultz
Kristina has always been pulled in two directions at once — the imaginative and the technical — and fashion design turned out to be the one field that asked for both.
She earned her first degree in Womenswear from The National Institute of Design in Moscow, and later, a second degree, a BFA in Menswear, from Parsons School of Design in New York. For years she worked as a product designer at Rivanna Natural Designs, building her range as a multidisciplinary designer after moving continents and starting a family.
Through it all, one thing stayed constant: people kept asking her to design and sew for them. Eventually, those requests became Constantine Atelier.

These days, it’s rare for a garment to be created entirely in one place — from initial concept and fabric sourcing through patternmaking and construction.
At Constantine Atelier, everything happens in-house, under Kristina’s direct oversight, right here in Richmond, VA. Fittings take place in person at the studio, or we can come to you if that’s easier. No guessing over video calls. No rushed appointments. Just thoughtful, hands-on craftsmanship from start to finish.
